As a certified birth and postpartum doula, and a pediatric sleep consultant, I have worked with diverse families and supported them through the major life transitions associated with birth, and beyond.

After years of studying and working in public health and community education, I was introduced to the idea of a doula by a chance encounter. I felt instantly drawn to the idea; the training I received reinforced how well doula work and family support aligned with how I wanted to contribute to the world around me. I understand that our healthcare system does not do a good job supporting families and birthing people, especially those that do not look a certain way, and that unacceptable outcomes exist in maternal and infant health. I am grateful for the ability and privilege to offer evidence-based support, and to stand up for reproductive justice in my community.

I love nature and the ocean, my dog Millie, science fiction and nerdy stuff, reading, creating stained glass, sewing and other crafts, movies, my friends and my family. 

Como una doula (compañera) de parto y posparto, y consultora de sueño infantil, he trabajado con familias diversas y las he apoyado durante las transiciones importantes de la vida asociadas con el nacimiento y más allá.

Después de años de estudiar y trabajar en salud pública y educación comunitaria, me presentaron la idea de ser doula por un encuentro casual. Me sentí atraída por la idea de inmediato; la capacitación que recibí reafirmó la importancia que tenía el trabajo de doula y el apoyo familiar para mi contribución al mundo. Entiendo que nuestro sistema médica no apoya a las familias y a las personas que dan a luz, especialmente a aquellas que no lucen de cierta manera, y que existen resultados inaceptables en la salud materna e infantil. Estoy agradecida por la capacidad y el privilegio de ofrecer el apoyo basado en evidencia y de defender la justicia reproductiva en mi comunidad.

Me encanta la naturaleza y el mar, mi perra Millie, la ciencia ficción, leer, crear vidrieras, coser y otras manualidades, las películas, mis amigos y mi familia.
